Wappen von Hochemmingen/Arms (crest) of Hochemmingen
Official blazon
German

In durch eine goldene Leiste geteiltem Schild oben in Blau ein wachsender, rot bezungter goldener Löwe, unten in Blau ein goldenes Schräggitter.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1896.

The arms are based on a small seal from the second half of the 18th century. The seal showed the arms, with helmet and as a crest a man or soldier. The seal probably was used by a local governor or sheriff for the Princes of Fürstenberg, to which the village belonged, sealing on behalf of the council. It is not known to whom these arms belonged.
