Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 21, 2001.
The arms are canting, a lion rising from a hill (Berg). The 15 stars refer to the 15 villages in the municipality. The lion is als taken from the arms of the Von Eulenburg family and the ladder in his paws is taken from the Von Bredow family. Both families owned castles and played a major role in the local history.
