Origin/meaning
The municipality did not use arms. The arms above are village arms designed in the 1990s (?).
The arms symbolize the (former) importance of agriculture and copper mining. The saint is the local patron Saint Sturmius, Abbot of Fulda. The cross is derived from the arms of the Diocese of Fulda.
