Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 14, 1928.

The first quarter shows the (canting) figure of the local patron saint, St. Lawrence (Laurens). The second quarter shows a linden tree, symbol of justice and the century old linden tree near the cemetery in the village. The third quarter shows three wheat-ears, symbol for agriculture. The fourth quarter shows a wavy bend for the Wildbach.
