ROCKENAU

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rhein-Neckar Kreis (until 1973 Heidelberg)
Incorporated into : 1973 Eberbach

Wappen von Rockenau/Arms (crest) of Rockenau
Official blazon
German In Blau drei im Dreieck stehende silberne Fische.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1914.

Rockenau belonged until 1815 to the larger municipality of the Vier Weiler. The council thereof used a seal with three fish in a triangle, the symbol of the Holy Trinity. In 1816 the Rockenau council continued the use on its own seal. In 1914 the arms were based on the seal and granted in the colours of (Pfalz-) Bayern, to which the village belonged at the time.
