Company
Gartmann was a chocolate factory, located in Altona (now Hamburg) in Germany. The company issued a large number of trade cards; 750 series of 6 cards each between 1901-1931. These cards could be collected in special albums. The series had a huge range of topics, but only one series has a heraldic item, even though the series is called Diamonds (series 534). The six cards show the largest diamonds in the world as well as the arms of the country where the diamond was located.
