English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 4, 1982.
The scythe and the battlements refer to the former Sensenstein Castle in the area of today's municipality, Sensenstein means scythe-fortress/stone making it a canting element.
The two three-leaf beech branches are the symbols for the municipality's location between the Kaufunger Forest Nature Park and the Münden Nature Park.
The wavy diagonal division line symbolises the Nieste river.
