BERGE

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Soest (until 1972 Lippstadt)
Amt : Amt Anröchte
Incorporated into : 1975 Anröchte

Wappen von Berge (Anröchte)/Arms (crest) of Berge (Anröchte)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 1, 1952.

The chevron and the colours of the arms are taken from the arms of the Lords of Meschede, who owned the village for many centuries. The hammer and try square (Winkel in German) are symbols for the local stone quarries and mining.
