Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on January 25, 1920.
In 1602 the local council asked the Counts of Wertheim permission to have their own seal made. Whether that was granted is not known, but at least in 1811 the village used a seal with the arms of the Counts of Wertheim (in the upper half an eagle, in the lower three roses). This seal was identical to that of the 18 other municipalities in the county.
During the 19th century and until 1920 the municipality used a seal with a crowned letter K.
In 1919 the State Archives of Baden proposed the arms shown above, with in the upper half the eagle of Wertheim, and in the lower a canting element for the -Bach (stream, brook) part of the name.
