Durch eine eingeschweifte blaue Spitze, darin eine springende silberne Mähre, gespalten von Silber und Gold; vorne ein blauer Löwe, rot bewehrt; hinten auf grünem Dreiberg eine schwarze Henne, rot bewehrt.

Origin/meaning

The arms show the lion of Thüringen and the rooster of the Counts of Henneberg, to which the area historically belonged. The horse (mare) is a canting element for the old name of the village Mährenfeld, of field of mares.
