PFAFFING

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Rosenheim
Additions : 1978-1994 Albaching

Wappen von Pfaffing/Arms (crest) of Pfaffing
Official blazon
German Gespalten; vorne in Silber drei senkrecht stehende, durchgehende blaue Rauten, hinten geteilt von Schwarz und Silber mit einem Löwen in verwechselten Farben.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 12, 1972.

The arms are a combination of elements from the arms of the Attel (diamonds) and Rott (lion) abbeys. Both had many possessions in the present municipality for many centuries. The blue and silver at the same time symbolise the fact that the area already belongs to Bayern since medieval times.
