German Von Gold und Blau geteilt, oben ein stehender geflügelter rotbewehr­ter und -bezungter blauer Löwe mit unter­ geschlagenem Schweif, unten ein dreila­mellig gedrehter, oben offener goldener Halsreif mit reich verzierten Enden, besei­tet von zwei rosettenförmigen durchbro­chenen goldenen Perlen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 23, 1956.

The upper half shows a winged lion, symbol of St. Mark, the local patron saint. The base shows a prehistoric torc and pearls, found in a grave in the village in 1954.
