English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
Rohr was a property of the local Augustiner monastery and thus had no own seals or arms until 1803. The arms were first used around 1812 and show in the left part the canting Rohr-plants. The eagle is the eagle of Brandenburg, which represent the influence of the Margraves of Brandenberg-Ansbach in the area.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
