Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 13, 1923, and are based on an image on a painting from 1721.

The arms show in the right half a simplified version of the arms of the Von Ziegler family, who acquired the castle and town of Tittling in 1672. The diamonds in the left half are derived from the arms of Bayern.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
