EBENSHAUSEN
State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Wartburgkreis
Incorporated into: 2020 Amt Creuzburg
German | Im silbernen Schild eine grüne Linde über ei nem blauen Wellenschildfuß, der mit einem silbernen Sparren belegt ist. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 9, 1997.
The linden tree is chosen as a symbol for the village, as most of the trees in the village are linden trees. The wavy division line symbolises the Werra river in the municipality. The chevron in the base symbolises the new bridge over the Werra, and at the same time is a canting element for the second part of the name (a chevron for a house, Haus).
