In Silber (Weiß) eine rote Kirche mit drei schwarzbedachten Türmen, der mittlere Turm mit einer barocken Haube. Unter dem schwarzen Satteldach zwischen den Seitentürmen ein goldener (gelber) achtstrahliger Stern Origin/meaning The arms were granted on July 25, 1973. The arms show the west facade of the Marienmünster abbey, founded in 1128 by Count Widukind III of Schwalenberg. The star is derived from the arms of the Counts of Schwalenberg.
