Official blazon
German In Silber ein blauer Wellenschrägbalken, belegt mit drei schrägen silbernen dreizackigen Kronen.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 9, 1967.

The three crowns refer to the Chapel of the Three Kings in the village. The wavy bend is a canting element, epe or ape means stream. The colours are those of the County Arnsberg, to which the city historically belonged.
