Official blazon
German Auf silbernem Schild ein blauer Wellenbalken und darüber ein rot-bewehrter, schwarzer Adler.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 17, 1955.

The name Arpke may have been derived from Aar-beeke, or eagle-brook. Hence the use of an eagle and a wavy bar in the arms, as no historical seals of the village were known.

Literature: Peters, 1974
