Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 13, 2001.

The arms refer to the three former municipalities and villages. The blue field with silver wavy pale refers to Alt Zeschdorf, which is characterised by lakes. Petershagen is represented by the thorns, as thorn-fences are common around the villages.

The ant refers to the 'ant-highway' in Döbberin. When a new road needed to be built an large ant colony had to be relocated. This was picked up by the newspapers and thus the village became known for the ants. There is now a memorial stone next to the road.
