HAVERLAH

State: Niedersachsen
District (Kreis): Wolfenbüttel
Samtgemeinde: Samtgemeinde Baddeckenstedt

Wappen von Haverlah/Arms (crest) of Haverlah
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 5, 1967.

The arms were newly designed in 1967 as there are no older seals or arms known for the village. The -lah part of the name means 'forest', and hence a deer was chosen, as these animals are abundant in the forest around the village. The colours are those of the State of Hildesheim, to which the area historically belonged.
