HOFS
State: Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis): Ravensburg (until 1973 Wangen)
Incorporated into: 1972 Leutkirch im Allgäu
German | In Rot zwei schräggekreuzte, gegeneinandergekehrte silberne Sensen, zwischen den Eisen ein dreiblättriges silbernes Kleeblatt. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1927.
As there were no historical seals or symbols for the village known, the council asked in 1927 for arms which would represent the agricultural character of the village. The State Archives proposed the above design with two scythes and a trefoil, which was adopted by the municipality.
