Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on ?

The arms combine in the upper half the chequered field of the Counts of Sponheim, to which the area historically belonged, with miner's tools in the base. Copper mining was of great importance to the village.

The previous arms were granted on April 17, 1964 and show the same elements, as well as a miner's lamp and in the base a small mountain.
