Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms show a monogram of Goergius Apoprtanus, one of the North-German church reformers, who was a pastor in Canum for 32 years before his death in 1584. The eagle-wings are derived from the arms of the Allena family, who played a major role in the history of Canum.
