German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

WIGGENSBACH

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Oberallgäu (until 1973 Kempten)

Wappen von Wiggensbach

Official blazon

In Blau auf grünem Hügel eine silberne Burg mit zwei Zinnentürmen und roten Dächern, zu deren Tor eine goldene Brücke führt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 28, 1949, but were already designed and proposed in 1937.

The arms show the Seiseck fortress in the municipality. The red and blue colours are derived from the arms of the former State and Abbey of Kempten, to which the area belonged until 1803.
