Selected collector's items from Germany:

SCHNEIZLREUTH

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Berchtesgadener Land (until 1973 Berchtesgaden)
Additions : 1978 Weißbach an der Alpenstraße

Wappen von Schneizlreuth

Official blazon

In Blau über silbernem Dreiberg ein goldenes Rad, aus dem göpelförmig drei silberne Soleleitungen wachsen, oben beseitet von je einem goldenen Kleeblatt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 3, 1981.

The golden wheel refers to the important and profitable salt road from Bad Reichenhall to Traunstein, which went through the municipality.

Between 1611 and 1619 Duke Maxiumilian I of Bayern had a pipeline built for the brine from Bad Reichenhall to Truanstein, as there was no longer enough wood near Bad Reichenhall for the boiling and evaporating of the brine. A large part of the pipeline was constructed in Schneizlreuth and weant trough the village. Hence the three pipelines in the arms.

The small mountain in the base is taken from the old arms of Weißbach an der Alpenstraße and refers to the alpine landscape.

The clover leaves are taken from the arms of the Lords of Lasser, who owned the Marzoll estate, to which large parts of the municipality belonged. They also refer to the alpine meadows in the municipality.
