Wappen von Böblingen

Official blazon

In Gold eine dreilatzige rote Fahne an drei roten Trageringen.

Origin/meaning

Böblingen received city rights in the middle of the 13th century. The oldest known seals of the city date from around 1300 and shows already the banner (Gonfanon) of the Counts of Tübingen, who at the time owned the city. The arms remained the same throughout the centuries, even though the city became part of Württemberg in 1357.
