Official blazon

(de) In Silber auf grünem Boden ein natürlicher Eichenbaum.

Origin/meaning

Berga was mentioned as a city already in 1386, but full city rights were granted in 1427.

The seals of the city showed a crucifixion from the 15th until the 19th century, when the oak tree appears. The meaning of the tree is not clear.
