Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 20, 1952 and again on November 4, 1970.
Saint Remigius refers to the so-called Remigiusland, an historical area ruled by the saint as Bishop of Reims. The blue lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Veldenz, who ruled most of the area for a long time. The base shows the letters A and V for the historical Amt Ulmet, to which the village belonged.
