Origin/meaning
The newer (right) arms date from the 1980s and symbolise the modern living quarters in the district, with green parks and a young population.
The old arms were designed in 1816 and commemorated the liberation of 1814, hence the German cross and the date 1814. These arms remained in use until 1945.
