The red bend is a canting element, Bach means stream or river. The oak branch symbolises the many forests in the Spessart region in which the municipality is situated. The silver wheel is the symbol of the State of [[Mainz (State)|Mainz]], to which the village belonged until 1802. The three black crosses are a local symbol, in the village there are three very old stone crosses of unknown date and origin.
