Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 28, 1956.
The arms refer to a local court which was based in the village from Medieval times until 1597. It comprised the villages Klieve, Waltringhausen, Altenmellrich, Robringhausen and Uelde. Hence the five rings for the villages and the sword as a symbol of justice.
