Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 7, 1932.
The three crescents are taken from the arms of the Lords of Puechberg, which had many possessions in the area since 1320. The grape is a canting symbol (a Winzer is a person making wine), and also symbolises the importance of viticulture in the area. The silver and blue are the colours of Bayern.
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
