Origin/meaning
The arms were proposed in 1956, I have no idea whether the arms were actually adopted.
The only known historical seal of the Bieber council dates from 1744 and shows large armorial bearings. The shield itself only showed the letters GB for Gericht Bieber. The shield is covered with a helmet, with as a crest a torso of a man holding three wheat ears in his hand. As letters are not appropriate in civic heraldry the wheat ears were chosen as a symbol for the (former) village.
