HASSELBERG
State: Bayern
District (Kreis): Main-Spessart (until 1973 Marktheidenfeld)
Incorporated into: 1974 Hasloch
German | In Blau ein linksgewendetes goldenes Haselhuhn, über dem ein achtstrahliger silberner Stern schwebt. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 20, 1958.
The haselhuhn (grouse) is a canting element. The star is probably taken from the arms of the Counts von Wertheim, as the village was a possession of the counts from the 13th century until 1556. The composition was already seen on a seal from 1730.
