The arms show the cross of the Teutonic Order and the wheel of [[the State of Mainz]]. The town belonged to the Teutonic Order from 1291-1483 and from 1484 onwards to the Prince-bishops of Mainz. The court of Grossheubach used a seal from 1654-1804 that showed a single cross with some allegoric symbols, like a rose and some plants. The cross is most likely the cross of the Teutonic Order, but in the seal the cross was placed diagonally, instead of vertically.
