Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 12, 1977.
The arms show the local Wegelnburg castle, around which the village developed. The small hill indicates that the castle is the highest situated castle in the Pfalz. The miner's tools refer to the mining in the area, which already took place in medieval times.
In 1950 the local council applied for arms with the castle on a hill, but on the hill a golden cogwheel, symbolizing industry. These arms were never granted.
