English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 28, 1949.
Harthausen auf der Scheer did not have any historical seals or arms, so the above arms were designed in 1947 by the State Archives in Sigmaringen. The chief is a canting element (Scher means pointed mountains or stones, now known as Felszacken in German).
The colours are those of the Counts of Veringen, the oldest known Lords of the village in the 13th and 14th century.
Literature: Gönner, 1958
