Origin/meaning
The arms of Öllingen were granted on February 21, 1955.
The silver lion is derived from the arms of the Counts of Dillingen. In 1143 the counts gave the large Fronhof estate in the village as well as a quarter of the income of the local parish to the monastery in Anhausen an der Brenz. This is represented by the silver cross in the arms. The cross also symbolises that another part of the parish was owned by the Wiesensteig Abbey since 1330.
