Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 9, 1968.
The arms are based on the 19th century seal of the village, which showed the horseshoe. It probably is a generic symbol for agriculture. Before the seals also had included symbols for pottery, important from the 16th until the 18th century, but no longer in the 19th. Hence the change to a horseshoe.
