NIEDERSCHOPFHEIM
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ortenaukreis (until 1973 Offenburg)
Incorporated into : 1973 Hohberg
German | In Silber ein schwarzer Schopf. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1901.
The arms show a shed (Schopf in German), a canting element. The shed already appeared on the 16th century seal of the village. As no colours were known in the early 20th century it was decided to use black and silver.
