Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 9, 1966.
The arms show in the upper part the lion of Hessen. The lower half shows the rivers in the municipality, and are at the same time a canting element, Bach=stream. The linden leaves are a symbol for the Nibelungensaga, an important local saga.
