DISSEN AM TEUTOBURGER WALD
State:Niedersachsen
District (Kreis):Osnabrück
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1968 and are based on the old arms of the town, which are known from seals and buildings since the early 18th century. The arms show the wheel of the State of Osnabrück, to which the town historically belonged. The crown probably was an addition in the baroque era, without special meaning. When the arms were granted the colour green was chosen as a symbol for the Teutoburger Forest.
