Official blazon
German In Silber ein bewurzelter grüner Eichenbaum mit goldenen Eicheln.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

Aichach was already mentioned as a city in the 13th century. The oldest seal is known since 1315 and shows already a shield with a canting oak (Eiche) tree. All later seals and images have shown the tree, sometimes as shown above, sometimes planted in a small hill.

The colours on the other hand have changed considerably, with a blue field, or a field divided silver and red. The above colours are the most commonly used colours since 1560 and were officially granted in 1949.
