The arms were officially granted on September 23, 1992.

The red and silver are the colours of Thüringen. The grapes symbolise that until the late 19<sup>th</sup> century grapes were grown in the village. The oak leaf is a canting symbol for the Eichelberg mountain. The wavy bend is the Saale river, whereas the three stars are the three villages of Kaulsdorf, Tauschwitz and Eichicht.
