GROSSFAHNER
State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Gotha
German |
Von Rot über Silber schräg geteilt: oben und unten je eine Rose in verwechselten Farben; im Schildfuß ein grüner Dreiberg. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 30, 1995.
The two roses are derived from the arms of the Lords of Vanre, who had one of their estates in the village and who lived in the village until the mid 15th century. The mountain in the base symbolises the geographical character of the area.
