NORDWALDE
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Steinfurt
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 5, 1935.
The village developed around two estates, the Bispinghof and the Pröpstinghof, both of which were a possession of the Cathedral Chapter of Münster. The arms of the Bispinghof estate showed a sword in a green field, which were in the municipal arms placed under three trees, which are a canting symbol (Wald=forest).
