WALDTHURN
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Neustadt an der Waldnaab (until 1973 Vohenstrauss)
Additions : 1972 Lennesrieth, Spielberg
German |
Geteilt von Blau und Silber; oben nebeneinander drei durch Mauern verbundene silberne Zinnentürme, unten drei auf niedrigen grünen Hügeln stehende grüne Laubbäume. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms are canting, showing towers (Türme) over trees (Wald, or forest). These arms first appear on a seal dating from 1649. The arms have been used ever since, first only in seals, later, in the last century, also in documents.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
