TRIER-SAARBURG (TR)

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
Additions : 1969 Saarburg, Trier

Wappen von Trier-Saarburg/Arms (crest) of Trier-Saarburg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1970 and are mainly based on the arms of the former district Saarburg.

The castle is slightly changed and an additional background is added with the bars of Luxembourg, as a large part of the district historically belonged to Luxembourg.

Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
