LEVERN

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Lübbecke
Incorporated into : 1973 Stemwede

Wappen von Oppenwehe/Coat of arms (crest) of Oppenwehe
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The municipality never used arms. The current arms were adopted as village arms on November 1, 2020.

The chapel is the local church, built in 1648, destroyed and rebuilt in a smaller version in 2003. The linden leaves symbolise the many linden trees in the village. The base symbolises the Stemweder Berg (hill) and the Oppenweher Moor (marshland).
