German Schräggeteilt von Gold über Blau, oben zwei schwarze begrannte Ähren, davon die linke außen mit einem geknickten Halm, unten zwei versetzt übereinander linkshin schwimmende silberne Fische.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 22, 2004.

The two ears and the two fish represent the two former municipalities. They also indicate the importance of agriculture and fisheries in the area. The blue represents water, the gold the rich soil (sand) and agriculture (wheat).
